With this update, we've added support for taking screenshots.

Just like screen recordings, you can copy to clipboard, save, or create a shareable link.

You can take a screenshot by clicking in the tray menu, or the dedicated button in the main Cap window.

Next update will include shortcut support for taking screenshots and a basic editor (for cropping, adding effects, etc).

In this update, we've added support for global recording start/stop shortcuts, implemented trimming in the editor, and support for different aspect ratios.

The latest version of Cap Desktop is now available in early access. A complete rebuild from the ground up, v0.3 is a completely new app with a brand new design, new features, and improved performance.

Features

• Transcript on the share page - Read along while you watch, or skim the transcript instead of scrubbing.
• Processing status - The share page shows transcription progress and updates as soon as the transcript is ready.

You can now record a Cap without installing anything. The new web recorder captures your screen and webcam straight from the browser and gives you a shareable link when you stop.

• Screen and webcam recording - Pick a screen, window, or tab, and optionally add your camera.
• Upload as you record - Recordings upload in segments while you record, so your link is ready quickly after you stop.
• Works alongside the desktop app - Same account, same library, same share pages.
