• Compact recording rail - A draggable rail sits on the page while you record, with hover actions for pause, restart, and delete.
• Camera resize - Resize the camera bubble directly on the page, and dismiss panels without interrupting the recording.
• More reliable starts - Recording start and preview handling are more stable, and display capture retries automatically when the browser is slow to hand over the stream.

The extension now connects to cap.so, so you can start browser recordings directly from the Cap dashboard with the extension handling capture.

• Accurate permission status - Camera and microphone status now reflects what Chrome has actually granted, so if access is reset you are asked again instead of seeing an empty device list.
• Faster device checks - Permission state is remembered between sessions, so the recorder panel shows your camera and mic status right away when it opens.
• Standalone panel fallback - On pages where the recorder panel cannot open, Cap now opens in its own small window so you can still start a recording.

Cap is now available as a Chrome extension. Record your screen, a window, the current tab, or camera-only video without leaving the browser, and your recording uploads while you record so a share link is ready the moment you stop.
