Summary
In this video I walk through the entire process of setting up coupon codes for clients. I start by navigating to the Marketing area of the platform and selecting the Coupons tab, where a list of existing coupons is displayed. From there I can either create a New coupon or edit an existing one.
I then explain each field that appears on the coupon creation screen:
- Coupon code – the alphanumeric string that will be shared with the client.
- Discount type – options include Percentage discount, Fixed cart discount, Fixed product discount, or a Product‑specific discount (e.g., 15 % off selected items).
- Allow free shipping – a toggle to add free shipping to the order when the coupon is applied.
- Expiry date – optional; if left blank the coupon never expires.
- Usage restrictions – settings to limit the coupon based on minimum/maximum spend, specific products, or product categories.
- Usage limits – controls how many times the coupon can be used overall and how many times per user. I note that you can set a coupon to have unlimited total uses but restrict each customer to a single use, which is handy for personalized client coupons.
After configuring the desired options I demonstrate publishing the coupon. Once published, the coupon appears in the list with a status label (e.g., “Draft”). I also show how to trash a draft or an existing coupon. Finally, I recap that the workflow is simply: go to Marketing → Coupons → New/Edit → fill out fields → set restrictions and limits → Publish.
The video emphasizes that every setting is self‑explanatory in the UI, and that you can tailor coupons for individual clients (unlimited overall use, one‑time per client) or for broader promotional campaigns (limited use, expiry dates, free shipping, etc.).
