Intro to Jupyter in Google Colab: setup, execution, and grading

I walk students through accessing the Intro to Jupyter assignment on Canvas and opening it in Google Colab, a hosted Python notebook. I show how to make a personal copy of the notebook, then demonstrate the proper way to run cells using Shift + Enter. I install the otter‑grader extension, download the q1.py and q2.py test files from my public Google Drive, and explain that the grader will work even without the visual cues. Finally, I illustrate the cell execution indicators—numbers, check marks, and timing—so students can verify which cells have run. I encourage them to experiment freely in non‑graded cells while ensuring graded cells are answered correctly.
