Summary
In this video, I walk through the process of adding a Google Tag Manager (GTM) and other Google-related codes to a dealer website. To start, navigate to the plugin settings by going to 'Websites', selecting the desired website, and clicking on 'Plugins' on the left-hand side. The plugin settings page contains various options, including Google Tag Manager ID, Google Analytics ID, and Google site verification. To add a GTM code, simply paste the code starting with 'GTM-' into the designated field and click 'Save'. Although native integration with Google Analytics and other scripts is possible, GTM is often preferred by marketing teams due to its additional capabilities. However, it's worth noting that using GTM may have a small performance impact. Other Google-related codes, such as Google Analytics ID and Google site verification, can also be added through this page. Google site verification is often required for services like Google Search Console and Google AdWords. After saving the GTM ID, the website will update within 5-10 minutes, and the GTM code will be visible on the live site.
