Summary
In this video I walk through how to handle order statuses and the associated customer email notifications in our system. I start by explaining that there are two primary order statuses we need to be aware of: Processing (also shown as "encore" in French) and the follow‑up status after the order is ready for shipment. When an order enters the Processing status the customer automatically receives a "thank you for your purchase" email; I’ll show where those email templates are located in a later video.
Next, I demonstrate the Actions menu where you can generate a Packing Slip and an Invoice. Clicking the Packing Slip icon opens a printable slip that can be attached to the package, and the Invoice icon does the same for billing documents.
After the documents are ready, I move on to preparing deliveries. The system lets you schedule deliveries for the next day by selecting either the AM or PM delivery slot. Each slot is associated with a specific truck—red trucks for the AM slot and purple trucks for the PM slot. Choosing a slot automatically triggers an email to the customer telling them the exact time window (e.g., "Your package will arrive between 9 am–12 pm") during which they need to be present to receive the package.
When a driver completes a delivery, they click the "Command Livré" (Delivered) icon. This marks the order as delivered in the system. If the customer was not home, the driver can still use the same icon to send a follow‑up email informing the customer that the attempt was made and providing next‑step instructions.
I conclude by noting that I will create a separate video that dives deeper into the email templates and how to customize them.
