2. PackWares: Paper Recommendation

In this video, I walk through the next step in calculating box compression strength using a paper optimization tool. The tool allows users to automatically or manually configure settings to generate paper recommendations. I demonstrate how to input parameters such as box dimensions, bursting strength, and quantity to manufacture. The tool then provides options for selecting the type of ply and flute, and configuring settings such as semiautomatic or fully automatic unit head, wastage percentage, and machine width. I explain how these settings impact the calculation of bursting strength and cost. Once the parameters are set, the tool generates a detailed report showing the optimal paper combination, cost, and other relevant parameters. I highlight the importance of understanding the various settings and their impact on the final cost. The results show a business lowest cost of $27.28 and $4.09 with different combinations.
