Summary
In this video I walk through the order management interface of the e‑commerce system. I start by showing how to open an individual order, where the system displays the order creation date, the customer information, the current status, and the order details such as applied coupons. I demonstrate that the status can be changed directly from this screen. I explain that once an order is switched to "shipping" mode, most fields become locked and cannot be edited, although a refund can still be issued from the same screen.
Next, I cover the order notes feature. I show how to add a free‑form note to an order, which is useful for internal communication (e.g., reminding yourself or a teammate about special handling). All previously added notes appear in a list below the note entry field.
I then illustrate the built‑in email actions. From the order screen you can trigger an email to the customer, for example to resend a confirmation if the original was not received.
After covering existing orders, I demonstrate how to create a brand‑new order manually. By clicking the "Create Order" button you can add products by typing the first letters of the product name, select the correct item from the autocomplete list, and set quantities. I also show how to fill in the billing and shipping addresses for the new order before saving it.
Overall, the video explains every key capability related to orders: viewing full order information, editing status, handling refunds, adding internal notes, sending transactional emails, and manually creating orders with complete customer and product data.
